PENB (Energy Performance Certificate)
An official document assessing a building’s energy performance/efficiency (typically including an energy rating).
EP (Energy Assessment
An expert evaluation of a building’s energy demand and the proposed measures, typically prepared to support grant/subsidy applications.
EA (Energy Audit)
A detailed assessment of a building’s energy performance and operation, including recommended energy-saving measures.
ES (Energy Study)
A concise feasibility-style overview of energy options and possible measures for a specific building or area.
KPSV (Heating System Inspection)
An inspection of the heating system’s technical condition and efficiency — and, where applicable, the ventilation system.
OPTAK (Operational Programme Technologies and Applications for Competitiveness)
An EU-funded subsidy programme supporting business modernisation, innovation and competitiveness — e.g., R&D and innovation, digitalisation, energy savings/low-carbon solutions, and more efficient use of resources.

We carried out a comprehensive energy audit across a representative set of the company’s operations — from EuroOil service stations and fuel storage facilities to technologically demanding pipeline infrastructure. The scope covered diverse asset types and operating regimes, providing a solid basis for identifying savings opportunities and prioritising upgrades across the network.

total energy consumption analysed across operations
The audit covered the full range of key energy uses and technologies across operations, including heating, lighting, compressed-air equipment, drives and pumps, service-station technologies, operational control, and distribution systems. For each location, we assessed equipment condition and efficiency, identified realistic upgrade opportunities, and quantified the business case — including payback and the impact on carbon dioxide emissions.
potential energy savings once the recommended measures are implemented
potential emissions reduction through operational optimisation and upgraded heat sources
The project went beyond a standard audit scope. It also included statutory inspections of heating and air-conditioning systems, preparation of Energy Performance Certificates (PENB), and — most importantly — feasibility studies for selected investments to support applications under OPTAK – Energy Savings. As a result, the work not only met the legal requirement under Act No. 406/2000 Coll., but also created a practical, strategic basis for future energy planning and investment decisions.
