MEK (Local Energy Concept)
A strategic energy plan for a municipality or region, setting priorities and measures for energy development.
EP (Energy Assessment
An expert evaluation of a building’s energy demand and the proposed measures, typically prepared to support grant/subsidy applications.
PENB (Energy Performance Certificate)
An official document assessing a building’s energy performance/efficiency (typically including an energy rating).
PD (Project Documentation)
A complete set of drawings and technical descriptions used to design, obtain permits for, and ultimately build a project. It serves as the core reference for authorities, designers, and the construction contractor.

For the town of Břidličná and neighbouring municipalities, we prepared a Local Energy Concept (MEK) — a practical strategy to address rising energy prices, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and support long-term energy savings. The document sets out specific measures that are realistic and implementable at the local level.

potential heat savings through modernisation of building systems
The concept is grounded in real local data — energy consumption, building condition and renewable energy potential. It maps clear pathways to 2030 and 2050, with practical steps to cut emissions, expand solar power installations, modernise heating systems and strengthen local energy self-sufficiency. The outcome is a prioritised action plan that makes the next steps clear and achievable.

The Local Energy Concept is a practical decision-making tool for municipal leadership, schools and other institutions across the region. It helps identify priority investments, prepare for upcoming grant calls (for example under OPTAK and the Operational Programme Environment), and communicate the value of energy savings to the public. The result is a plan designed to deliver real impact and strengthen the area’s long-term resilience.
